Social Media Manager

We are seeking an experienced social media professional with a proven track record in establishing and managing brands for online membership services. Reporting to the VP Marketing, the successful Social Media Coordinator will plan and manage our social media outreach to grow awareness and increase brand loyalty. The successful candidate will be energetic, pragmatic, and able to understand the importance of balancing near-term revenue goals with long-term branding goals. This is an ideal role for an individual who is on the fast-track in their current company, has had the opportunity to learn best practices from others, and is now eager to prove he/she can handle the responsibility of managing the process from end-to-end.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop social media strategies and plans, then execute on them
  • Understand key Social Media metrics
  • Generate buzz as a result of successful social media events and promos
  • Develop socially engaging experiences
  • Identify brand evangelists and celebrity bloggers
  • Viral seeding: incentivize Influencers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role on a small team and/or as a Specialist role on a large team
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written (including grammar)
  • Strong knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and WordPress
  • Subject matter expert on online social media tools — knows them, has used them all, understands differences, benefits, etc.
  • Willingness to learn as well as teach others
  • Highly organized, great time management skills, with focused attention to detail

Affiliate Marketing Consultant


We are seeking an experienced online marketing professional with a proven track record in establishing and managing affiliate programs for online membership services. Reporting to the VP Marketing, the successful Affiliate Marketing Manager will enhance the affiliate and partner advertising program. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the costs and benefits of maintaining a successful affiliate marketing program. This is an ideal role for an individual who has seen it done in multiple ways, but would appreciate the challenge of building the infrastructure for a successful program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow our affiliate base through outreach to league commissioners and strategic partners
  • Grow our partnership base through targeted outreach to local businesses
  • Maintain our Commission Junction and Link Share programs
  • Advise on infrastructure purchases and implementations to support growth goals
  • Monitor affiliates and partners
  • Devise procedures to automate affiliate program processes
  • Monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis
  • Optimize buys, renegotiate rates, cancel/renew affiliates and partners as necessary

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4-6 years experience across at least two online membership services companies
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written (including grammar)
  • Willingness to learn as well as teach others
  • Highly organized, great time management skills, with focused attention to detail
